Gator Curvin is a Tennessee based violinist and creative director known for immersive performances that blend classical elegance, cinematic storytelling, and Southern atmosphere. Through Blackwater Bow, she creates live musical experiences designed not only to be heard, but felt.
Originally from Franklin, Tennessee, Gator began studying violin at the age of eight under Dana Meyer. After years of classical training, she toured Europe at thirteen with Music City Strings, performing in castles and historic venues throughout England, Scotland, France, and Spain, including Carnegie Hall in Dumfermline, Scotland.
She later performed at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium alongside Amy Grant and Vince Gill during their annual Christmas residency and appeared with The Time Jumpers during the venue’s Tokens Show. Her recording work has also included collaborations with emerging artists such as JohnnySwim.
Today, her work extends beyond traditional performance into the worlds of luxury weddings, editorial campaigns, historical venues, wildlife collaborations, and cinematic visual storytelling. Her performances have taken place in museums, historic estates, caves, galleries, aquariums, and atmospheric locations across the American South.
Inspired by history, folklore, Southern landscapes, and the tension between refinement and wilderness, Blackwater Bow exists as both a musical project and a living aesthetic. Each performance is designed to transform a setting into an experience—immersive, transportive, and unmistakably atmospheric.
